From the drawing to the jewel

We design a jewel around your stone, and you are involved at every step. We work with independent goldsmiths in Switzerland, France and Thailand: the quality is the same, only the price changes, so you choose the workshop that suits your budget.

  1. Your wishes: a first meeting about the jewel you imagine, how you will wear it, and your budget.
  2. Choosing the stone: we show you several stones, from our stock or found for you, and explain the differences between them.
  3. Sketches and design: we draw the first sketches with you, then a hand-painted design of the finished piece.
  4. Choosing the goldsmith: Switzerland, France or Thailand, three workshops of similar quality at three price levels.
  5. Making the jewel: we follow the work in the workshop and keep you informed until the piece is ready.

A piece usually takes three to five appointments with us, and we explain every choice along the way. The images show two of our pieces, each as the hand-painted design and as the finished jewel.

Engagement rings

An engagement ring is often the first exceptional stone in a life. We help you choose it: a diamond, or a coloured precious stone such as a sapphire, a ruby or an emerald, a choice that is both timeless and very personal.

We select the stone with you, explain what makes each one special, then design the ring around it and follow its making, step by step.

Anniversaries and birthstones

Many wedding anniversaries are named after precious stones, a lovely occasion for a jewel. Traditions vary from one country to another:

AnniversaryFrench traditionEnglish tradition
35 yearsRubyCoral or jade
40 yearsEmeraldRuby
45 years–Sapphire
55 years–Emerald
60 yearsDiamondDiamond

Birthstones are another beautiful tradition, for a birth or a birthday: each month has its own stone, such as the emerald for May, the ruby for July or the sapphire for September.
